• After completing his school education, Sujit Bose started working as a businessman.

• In April 2026, during the West Bengal Legislative Assembly election, Sujit Bose was defeated by his opponent Dr. Sharadwat Mukherjee, a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate, by a margin of more than 37,000 votes.

• On 11 May 2026, he made headlines when the Enforcement Directorate arrested him for his involvement in the South Dum Dum municipality recruitment scam in West Bengal, India.

• Earlier, Sujit Bose had served as a vice chairman of the South Dum Dum municipality.
