  • After the video went viral, a local resident Sushil Kumar, lodged a complaint against Bhati in Noida Sector 24 Police Station on 13 May 2026.
  • In the early May 2026, another FIR was registered against Bhati at the Kavi Nagar police station after a complaint from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ajay Sharma. That case was registered under section 196(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for allegedly creating hatred between groups.
  • Rajkumar Bhati publicly apologised and claimed that only a short portion of his speech was cropped and circulated to defame him.

  • After Bhati’s remarks, on 13 May 2026, members of Brahmin community held a meeting at Brahmapuri, Dadri and demanded a strict action against Rajkumar Bhati. Additionally Uttar Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister, Brajesh Pathak asked Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav to clarify Bhati’s remark on Brahmin.
  • Leaders of Indian National Congress also demanded strict action against Bhati. Uttar Pradesh Congress President, Ajay Rai wrote on X,

The abusive language against the Brahmin community is highly condemnable. Political differences in ideology are acceptable, but insulting an entire community is completely unacceptable. An apology alone will not suffice. Strict disciplinary action must be taken immediately against such irresponsible leaders.”
