Who is Ante Budimir?

Ante Budimir is a professional football player who represents both the Croatia national team and La Liga club Osasuna as a striker. The 32-year-old was born on July 22, 1991 in Zenica, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, Yugoslavia. The La Liga striker stands 1.90 m (6 ft 3 in) tall.

A look at Ante Budimir’s career so far

Ante Budimir signed a four-year contract with German team FC St. Pauli in the 2. Bundesliga in August 2014, and the pact lasted until 2018. A transfer fee, estimated to be worth €900,000, was required of St. Pauli.

Budimir struggled during his tenure at St. Pauli, only managing one goal in 20 games while wearing the St. Pauli jersey. Budimir spent the rest of the 2015 season on loan with the Italian club Crotone, effective September 1, 2015.

In a 4-0 loss to Cagliari Calcio on September 7, 2015, he made his Crotone debut by substituting for Pietro De Giorgio in the 71st minute. Crotone invoked their option to buy out the player for €1 million in March 2016.
