jpnn.comJAKARTA – Chairman of the PAN Fraction of the DPR RI, Saleh Partaonan Daulay, appreciated the policy of the Minister of Trade (Mendag) Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) regarding goods sent by Indonesian migrant workers (PMI).

Minister of Trade Zulhas previously said that PMI consignments were no longer regulated through Minister of Trade Regulation (Permendag) Number 36 of 2023.

Saleh assessed that the Ministry of Trade was very responsive and accommodating to community demands. In this case, specifically, PMI.

With the latest policy issued by the Ministry of Trade, it is hoped that PMI will find it easier to send goods to families in the country.

“What is clear is that Minister of Trade Regulation No. 36/2023 has been revised. And this revision was carried out a month ago. Even before there were objections from PMI,” said Saleh, Wednesday (17/4).

He said that the evaluation of Minister of Trade Regulation no. 36/2023 is not only carried out by the Ministry of Trade, but is also coordinated by the Coordinating Minister for the Economy and involves related agencies such as Customs and Excise and BP2MI.

In its implementation, all government agencies are expected to have one voice. Don’t blame each other, let alone feel self-righteous. All government policies must be implemented jointly.

“Don’t be like yesterday, the head of BP2MI blamed the minister of trade. In fact, it was he himself who led the presentation in the meeting. The regulations issued by the Ministry of Trade are in principle the result of that meeting,” he said.

Chairman of the PAN Fraction of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Saleh Daula, appreciated Minister of Trade Zulhas’ policy regarding PMI shipments. Flick BP2MI’s head.
