Another person named Quddus Khan (45) died due to gas cylinder leakage in Gazipur. The death toll in this incident has increased to 17 people.

Quddus Khan, who was undergoing treatment in the ICU of the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in the capital, died at around 4:30 am on Saturday (March 30).

Quddus Khan’s house is in Kaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat district. He lived with his family in a rented house in Telirchala area of ​​Kaliakor.

Dr. Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery resident doctor. Tariqul Islam said that 80 percent of Quddus Khan’s body was burnt. 17 people have died so far in Gazipur due to gas cylinder leakage fire incident.

Mohammad Nazim Khan, the son of the deceased, said, “My father used to work as a daily labourer.” On the day of the incident, he was burnt by a cylinder fire while returning from work.

It is to be noted that on March 13, 34 people were burnt in a fire due to gas cylinder leakage in Telirchala area of ​​Kaliakair. They were quickly rescued and brought to the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery. Later after treatment, some were discharged.
