• Karman Thandi was born and raised in New Delhi.

• She is the sixth Indian female tennis player to enter the top 200 of the WTA rankings, after Nirupama Sanjeev, Sania Mirza, Shikha Uberoi, Sunitha Rao and Ankita Raina.

• During her early training years, she also practiced at Chandigarh under the coach Aditya Sachdeva.

• In 2015, Karman gained international recognition after winning Women Tennis Association (WTA) Future Stars Under -16 tournament in Singapore.

• In the same year, she turned professional and started competing regularly on the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Women’s Circuit.

• In 2016, Karman reached a career-high ITF junior ranking of World No. 32.
