Saindhavi Prakash and her husband have amicably decided to break up as GV Prakash announced this on Instagram.

Celebrity music director and actor GV Prakash Kumar and his spouse Saindhavi Prakash, have chosen to part ways after 11 years of marriage. The couple announced their split on social media on May 13. Their eleventh wedding anniversary was just over a month away when the news was released.

He wrote “After much reflection, Saindhavi and I have decided to part ways after 11 years of marriage, for the sake of our mental peace and betterment while preserving our mutual respect for each other.”

35-year-old Saindhavi Prakash was born in 1989 on 3 January to S. Srivatsan and S. Anandhi. She has two siblings namely Vijay Karthik and Vinodh Krishna. Prakash is 5ft 5in tall.

Since she was just 12 years old, she has been performing. She attended the Sree Suprabhata Sabha School in Chennai as well as the Lakshmy Narayana School of Music while receiving the National CCRT Scholarship for Carnatic Vocals from the Indian government.

After starting out as friends, GV Prakash and Saindhavi’s connection developed into love and resulted in their 2013 wedding. With the arrival of their daughter Anvi in 2020, their family continued to grow. In 2023, Saindhavi openly declared her love for GV Prakash, referring to him as the “love of her life” in an emotional Instagram post commemorating their tenth wedding anniversary.

Saindhavi Prakash career

Saindhavi Prakash is a playback singer whose songs include “Mussanje Rangalli” and “Beladingalante Minu Minuguta” from the Kannada film Psycho, as well as “Pirai Thedum” from the film Mayakkam Enna. She is one of the primary vocalists for Kosmic Music’s “Sacred Chants” album series and has also sung the theme music for TV shows including Edhir Neechal.

Over her career, she has worked with different musicians including Pradeep Kumar, Shankar Mahadevan, and Shreya Ghoshal.

Several accolades have been bestowed upon her, including the 2012 and 2019 SIIMA Awards, the Edison Awards, and the Best Female Playback Singer in 2010 and 2013. In 2011, she was also honoured with the Mirchi Music Awards’ Female Vocalist of the Year title.
