Who is Matias Rojas?

Matias Rojas is a Paraguayan football player who was born on November 3, 1995, in Asuncion, Paraguay. The 28-year-old stands 1.86 m (6 ft 1 in) tall. 

A look at Matias Rojas’ career so far 

As an attacking midfielder, he plays for both Inter Miami CF of Major League Soccer and the Paraguay national football team. It all started from Cerro Porteno. He made his debut for the Paraguayan Primera Division team against Nacional in March 2014. 

A year later, on March 13, 2015, at Estadio Defensores del Chaco, Rojas scored his first goal as a senior in Cerro Porteño’s 3-2 victory over Deportivo Capiata. Rojas was loaned to Lanús in the Argentine Primera Division on January 10, 2017, and he remained there for seven months before he returned to the club.  

Talking about his international career, he represents the Paraguayan national football team. He replaced Cecilio Domínguez in the 66th minute of the encounter against Peru on March 22 to make his debut.

Later, on May 13, Rojas was selected by Berizzo for his 2019 Copa América preliminary roster. On May 29, he was formally named to the tournament squad.
