In connection with the 101st anniversary of the birth of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, the head of the State Security Service (SSS) of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Ali Nagiyev and employees of the Service visited the grave of the great leader in the Alley of Honor, laid a wreath and bouquets of flowers at his grave, expressed deep respect and reverence for the blessed memory of a brilliant personality.

As the press service of the State Security Service reported to Day.Az, the memory of the outstanding ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva was also honored, and flowers were laid at her grave.

According to the information, at the event organized in the assembly hall of the State Security Service with the participation of the personnel of the Service, the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who gave their lives for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our republic was honored with a minute of silence, and the National Anthem was played.

The head of the State Security Service, Colonel General Ali Nagiyev, speaking about the life path of a brilliant personality, emphasized that the activities of the great leader Heydar Aliyev in the security agencies, to which he devoted 25 years of his life, were recognized as an important milestone in the history of these bodies, thanks to his Through invaluable efforts, the formation of a security service organization based on the ideology of Azerbaijanism began, and also emphasized the unprecedented merits of the great leader, who took upon himself the mission to save our state and preserve the independence of the country.

Colonel General Ali Nagiyev noted that the basis of the activities of today’s security agencies is the school of professionalism and patriotic heritage, the foundations of which were laid by the great leader Heydar Aliyev, and the State Security Service employees, as followers of this school, work hard to preserve and develop these traditions in the security agencies.

Head of the Service Ali Nagiyev emphasized that the intelligence agencies successfully carry out their activities under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev.

After the completion of the official part, the event continued with a concert program performed by famous representatives of culture and art at the Cultural Center of the State Security Service.
