The Corruption Eradication Commission stated that the legal process will stop when a suspect dies or is seriously ill.

“Later in the next process we will complete it, because, you know, once the investigation process has progressed, it doesn’t stop, unless you are permanently ill or die, then it can be stopped. But so far nothing has been stopped,” said Corruption Eradication Commission spokesperson Ali Fikri in his statement. Monday (1/4).

When asked why the KPK had not detained Siman, Ali said that his party had only coordinated with the Ministry of Politics, Law and Security (Kemenko Polhukam).

The Director of PT Loco Montrado Siman Bahar has been named a suspect by the KPK. However, Siman has filed a pretrial lawsuit regarding suspect status in this case. The judge granted his lawsuit and lost his suspect status.

Corruption Eradication Commission Deputy for Enforcement Karyoto said this was only a formal legality test. He said the Corruption Eradication Commission was still continuing the investigation process into this case.

In this case, the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) has named Dodi Martimbang (DM), General Manager of PT Antam’s Processing Unit, as a suspect.
