Charles Michel, the President of the Council of the European Union, expressed his opinion that difficult times are ahead for the EU. He told journalists about it in Vilnius, where the leaders of Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Sweden, and the Czech Republic also arrived to discuss EU policy priorities.
“Many great difficulties and challenges await us. It is necessary to do everything possible to strengthen the EU, to ensure security,” Michel said.
He also stated that they should continue to help Ukraine.
“We must mobilize all financial and military resources,” said Michel.
According to him, one of the priorities of the EU is to strengthen the economy.
“The single market is very important for us. it must be strengthened, more investments must be made,” said the President of the Council of the European Union, adding that it is no less important to maintain unity among the EU countries.
