Comic Con India stands as the nation’s premier celebration of pop culture, offering enthusiasts an unparalleled weekend of excitement. This annual event features a vibrant mix of celebrity appearances, enticing merchandise, immersive encounters, and top-tier cosplay from around the globe. Established by Jatin Varma in 2011 in New Delhi, Comic Con India has since blossomed into a multi-city event, spanning Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad.

Under Varma’s leadership, Comic Con India has forged a partnership with ReedPop, the organizing force behind renowned events like the New York Comic Con and the MCM London Comic Con, solidifying its status as a premier pop culture destination.
Cosplay has firmly established itself as an integral component of Comic Con India, experiencing a remarkable surge in participation from a modest 13 enthusiasts in 2011 to surpassing 2000 attendees by 2017. The event proudly hosts the esteemed Indian Championship of Cosplay, which significantly enhances the prominence of this artistic expression.
Similar to previous editions, this year’s schedule is brimming with excitement, showcasing exclusive sessions featuring industry leaders such as Maruti Suzuki Arena and Crunchyroll, along with captivating unveilings of comic books and energetic performances. Standout moments include appearances by renowned artists like Guy Delisle and Jason Loo, complemented by captivating musical performances by MC Altaf and Shahrule.
Day two of the convention promises to uphold the thrilling atmosphere with additional special sessions, the debut of new comic books, and the highly anticipated Mumbai Comic Con Cosplay Contest. The day reaches its peak with the Indian Championship of Cosplay – Mumbai Qualifier, intensifying the excitement of the festivities.
