Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy is an Indian politician, currently associated with the Telugu Desham Party (TDP). He has been in the news because his son, Raghav, is currently an approver in the Delhi liquor policy scam.
He was born on 15 October 1953 in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. Magunta is married and his wife’s name is Geeta Latha Magunta. He also has two sons; one of them is Raghav.

The Magunta family owns Balaji Distilleries and two other companies, and has been in the liquor business for over seven decades and Sreenivasulu Reddy was a prominent member of the alleged ‘South Group’, which allegedly paid a kickback of Rs 100 crore to Kejriwal’s party Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
Her career
As an Indian National Congress candidate, Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy was elected to the 12th, 14th, and 15th Lok Sabhas. However, he quit the party in 2014 over the split in Andhra Pradesh. He then joined the YSR Congress Party and was elected to the 17th Lok Sabha.
On February 28, 2024, he ultimately tendered his resignation from the governing YSRCP. He then joined the TDP on 16 March.
He is now running as an NDA candidate from the Ongole constituency in the general election of 2024 in India. He is connected to the excise duty case that resulted in Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s imprisonment by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
