Tragically, a 30-year-old woman doctor’s lifeless dead body was found in her residence, causing major disturbances in a residential neighborhood in Ulloor, Thiruvananthapuram. Named Abhirami Balakrishnan, she was a young senior resident physician at the Government Medical College Hospital.

The suicide note left by Dr. Abhirami Balakrishnan, stating that she was tired of life and that no one else was to blame for her death, has been found by the police.

Who was Abhirami Balakrishnan?

Abhirami Balakrishnan was an Indian doctor. She has been in the news because she recently committed suicide, sending shockwaves through the medical community.

She was born and raised in Vellanadu. Her father’s name is Balakrishnan Nair and her mother’s name is Ramadevi. Abhirami is married and her husband is Dr Pratheesh Raghu, a doctor from Ramankulangara, Kollam.

After completing her postgraduate studies at MCH, Abhirami Balakrishnan was placed on a one-year bond. At the time of her death, she worked as a senior resident doctor in the Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram’s Department of General Medicine.

She was residing in PT Chacko Nagar in an apartment. Officers claimed that Abhirami did not answer her flatmate’s call and that she was discovered dead on Tuesday night.

Abhirami Balakrishnan was just 30 years old at the time of her death.

The deceased is the daughter of retired health department official Balakrishnan and Ramadevi, of Vellanad.

Her cause of death

Abhirami Balakrishnan allegedly killed herself on Tuesday around 7:30 p.m. Her family arrived, and she was taken to the hospital immediately, but sadly, she died there. Police stated that more information could only be verified during a post-mortem but they think she may have injected a drug.
