According to a media report, in an important meeting of the Excise and Taxation Department, it was decided to impose road development tax on vehicles registered outside the province.

During the meeting, the participants were briefed that in other provinces, vehicles with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa numbers are viewed with suspicion, the provincial ministers and the participants of the meeting expressed serious concern about this.

Advisor Finance Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that Road User Surcharge will be collected from owners of vehicles registered outside the province, Road User Charge Bill 2024 will be approved by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly soon, Road User Surcharge will be collected from those residents of the province who have There will be other provincial and federal registered vehicles.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Adviser Muzmal Aslam further said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise Department has already issued universal number plates, commercial and residential property taxes are also being reformed.

Provincial Excise Minister Mian Khaliqur Rahman said that the announcement of online registration of vehicles is expected very soon.
