• Ravi Ghai was born and brought up in Delhi based businessman’s family.

• His father, Iqbal Ghai, started a modest eatery in Delhi’s Connaught Place, Kwality Ice Cream, during World War II, where he served homemade ice cream to American troops.

• With in short span, his father built Kwality into a national icon by introducing delights like chocobars and cassatas that captured the imagination of a young India.

• After graduating in the 1960s, Ghai returned to India and took over his father’s ice cream business legacy.

• Early in his father’s business, he oversaw the expansion of Kwality Ice Cream across India and into the Middle East by 1979.

• In the 1970s and 1980s, Rajiv Ghai entered the hospital industry and launched the Natraj Hotel brand in Mumbai.

• In 1994, Ghai entered into joint ventures with Baskin-Robbins and Rich Food Corporation and brough Baskin- Robbins ince cream brand to the Indian market.
