A Spanish press report said today, Wednesday, that there is one obstacle standing in the way of Portuguese Joao Felix, the Atletico Madrid player loaned to Barcelona, remaining with the Catalan team next season.
Felix is playing with Barca this season on loan, after which he is scheduled to return to his original club, Atletico Madrid, but the Portuguese player is committed to staying with the Blaugrana.
According to the Catalan newspaper “Sport”, the only obstacle for Felix to stay with Barcelona is the Financial Fair Play law in Spain, where Barcelona must sell some players in order to keep the Atletico star.
The newspaper added that the Barcelona administration is forced to find a solution in order to keep Felix for at least another season.
Felix participated with Barcelona in 41 matches this season, and is considered one of the key elements in Xavi Hernandez’s formation.
