Dead By Daylight (DBD) is celebrating its 8th anniversary this year with a series of new features and collaborations, find out everything below

DBD is an online asymmetric multiplayer survival horror video game that initially released on June 14, 2016.

DBD 8th anniversary – DnD collaboration, new killer and survivor

Dead by Daylight is set for a collaboration with Dungeons and Dragons (DnD) for its special 8^th year anniversary. Following the collaboration, Vecna, which is one of DND’s iconic villains, will come to DBD. Moreover, the collab will bring in new survivors like The Troupe, consisting of bards Aestri Yazar and Baermar Uraz. Besides a new Killer and Survivor, DND gameplay features like loot, magical items, dice, and even mimics will arrive on DBD.

DBD 8th anniversary new features and game modes

Given below are some of the new features and game modes that will come with the new update:

2V8 Mode

The DBD 8^th anniversary brings in the much-awaited 2V8 game mode where 2 killers will hunt down 8 survivors across new and much larger maps. The 2V8 game mode will features new features like a class system instead of the usual Perks. Moreover, player the game mode will bring in Cages instead of Hooks.

What The Fog

The DBD 8^th anniversary will also feature a brand-new 2-person co-op roguelite game titled ‘What The Fog’. In this mode, the player takes control of one of three survivors: Dwight, Claudette, and Feng Min. Players must survive a hostile world, while running, jumping, and shooting their way through various enemies. Notably, the first 2 million copies of the game are free, following which players need to spend $4.99.

Project T

Project T is another new upcoming DBD game that will come with the game’s 8^th anniversary update. It is a session-based PvE action-horror shooter set in the world of DBD.

The Casting of Frank Stone

The Casting of Frank Stone is also another brand-new gameplay trailer developed in collaboration with Supermassive Games. It revolves around a group of friends trying to create the scariest horror movie ever.

Castlevania Collab

Aside from the DnD collab, the DBD 8th anniversary also announced an upcoming Castlevania collab. The collab will feature a new map themed around Castlevania with a castle, bats, and more. The killer for the chapter will likely be Dracula, who has powers like his ability to transform into bats. Fans will however have to wait for August 6, 2024, to get an update on the survivor’s powers.
