CDMX Government announces basification of 4,800 health workers

The head of Government, Marti Batres announced the basification of 4,877 health workers, as part of the process of transferring services from the IMSS-Wellbeing.

There are 4,877 workers distributed in 184 hospitals and health centers, of which 2,786 had a temporary contract and 2,091 for immediate covid care, he explained.

In a conference, the capital’s president detailed that the beneficiaries join the 6,000 workers recruited in the last year.

“There are more than six thousand workers already based in the health sector and a second group of more than 4 thousand workers is coming to be based over the next few weeks. In the month that passes, this process will take place, this basification will be finalized,” he announced.

In his participation, the owner of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), Zoe Robledo He explained that the incorporation represents an investment of more than 7.4 billion pesos in payroll.

“Many people will wonder why it wasn’t based before? Due to cost and budget issues. This basification, in total, both of the (workers) that we basified last year plus those of this year, the investment for the federal government is 7,492 million pesos, from a basification payroll,” he explained.

Additionally, he announced the arrival of more than 12,500 health workers to the IMSS-Wellbeing services.

“At the end of May, new workers will be added to the Health for Wellbeing services, 12,535 health workers, including general practitioners, specialist doctors and other personnel,” he commented.
