Car-truck collision on the A22: a Dutch woman traveling with her family loses her life – News

BOLZANO. Another road victim in the Trentino Alto Adige area: this morning, Saturday 11 May, A Dutch woman lost her life in a serious accident along the A22between Egna and Bolzano Sud, which he saw a car and a truck collide.

The alarm went off at 6.30 am on the north lane of the motorway at km87. The husband and children of the woman I am understandably in shock: one of the young people, a teenager, was airlifted with moderate consequences (in code orange) to the San Maurizio hospital in Bolzano. The road accident caused a two-kilometre traffic jam in the affected section.

On site for the rescue and safety intervention were the volunteer firefighters of Egna, the professional firefighters of Bolzano, the White Cross, the Pelikan 2 emergency medical helicopter, the traffic police and the Autobrennero staff .

The car, which was proceeding in the direction of Brenner, collided with the heavy vehicle for reasons yet to be clarified. Traffic remained blocked until 8.20am. At 8.45 a lane was reopened, partially restoring vehicular traffic. At the moment there are still queues between Egna and Bolzano Sud.
